Guided Climb

Sister Linda S. Reeves, second counselor in the General Relief Society Presidency, declared, “I testify that the most important instruction that we can receive today is the counsel from the 15 men that we sustain as prophets, seers, and revelators! These men are watchmen on the tower. They see the enemy afar off. They will tell us all we need to know and do to be worthy to return to the presence of our Father in Heaven” (“Priesthood: ‘A Sacred Trust to Be Used for the Benefit of Men, Women, and Children,’” 2013 BYU Women’s Conference).

These prophets are here to guide us on our climb to the mountaintop. The Lord reveals to them the instructions and warnings that are essential for our climbing conditions and paths today. President Monson issued this invitation at the close of the April 2014 General Conference: “I hope that we will take the time to read the conference messages when they become available on LDS.org…and when they are printed in coming issues of the Ensign and Liahona magazines, for they are deserving of our careful review and study….As we ponder the messages we have heard, may we resolve to do a little better than we have done in the past.”

I invite you to join me in studying and applying the inspired counsel of living prophets. I look forward to learning and sharing together as we each “resolve to do a little better” in our daily climb to come closer to our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
